SUNSET HILLS, MO. – Sunset Hills, MO. driver Brad Loyet has accepted an invitation to join Team during its annual Midget racing tour in this upcoming January and February.
The 18 year old Loyet, finished seventh in the USAC National Midget Car Series point standings and the winner of a host of races across several other Midget racing sanctioning bodies, will join five other Americans, who will spend nearly three weeks racing on six occasions against the best New Zealand has to offer.
Other American drivers include two-time USAC National Midget champion Dave Darland, former Badger Midget titlists Scott Hatton, Danny Stratton and Cory Kruseman.
“I am very excited to be given this opportunity by Dave Stewart and Bill Buckley and hope to perform well.Usually this is the off season, but now I get to race during the winter months which is great.” said, Loyet
Competitors will compete four times at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland and twice at Powerbuilt Speedway in Christchurch.
Loyet will prepare for the six-race tour by taking part in the annual “Chili Bowl Nationals” from Jan. 10-13 in Tulsa, Okla., then will fly to Auckland to race Jan. 18 at Western Springs. The six-race tour ends Feb. 5 at Western Springs.
