Three new Western Springs Track Champions have been crowned after the final night of the 08/09 summer season at Western Springs Speedway.

The Midgets still have two rounds to go in the Samsung/Century Yuasa Batteries National Midget Car Series which includes each of the rounds from the Western Springs Open Wheel Championship nights. Michael Pickens now has an unassailable lead over Carl Worboys and Brad Mosen with rounds at Napier (March 21) and Waikaraka Park (April 4) still to go this summer.
