Michael Pickens got his 2009 International Midget World Series campaign back on track with a win in the 40-Lap 'King of the Springs Midget feature at Western Springs Speedway on Thursday night (Feb. 5). Shayne Alach finished a fighting second ahead of Michael Kendall in third.

The race wasn't without controversy though, with American Brad Kuhn excluded from third position after the race with the muffler on his racecar looking like it was about to fall off.
