The 2009 NZ Midget Test team was named on Sunday night (Jan. 4) by Western Springs promoter Bill Buckley.

The team is:

Carl Worboys

Lance Beale

Graham Standring

Shayne Alach

Shaun Insley

Michael Pickens has been named as NZ Team Captain by the team selectors, and will lead the Kiwi's against the visiting American team, which features USAC stars Jerry Coons Jnr., Brad Kuhn, and Cory Kruseman along with leading Australian driver Mark Brown. The 2009 International Midget World Series will be raced over four nights starting on January 28th at Western Springs.
